Merry Christmas everyone. Can you believe that Christmas is already here? This year has gone by so fast. I am so exited about Christmas and I hope y’all are exited too. But it is very important to remember the true meaning of Christmas…JESUS. The only reason that we have Christmas is because the son of God was born. Sometimes we forget that it’s not all about the presents. I admit that sometimes I forget that Christmas is not all about the presents. Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!

All of us are so happy that it is summer time. You can swim in the pool. Speaking of swimming in a pool. It is so much fun when you can flip around. You feel like you are in space. When you dive in the pool the water surrounds you. So swimming in the pool is one of the great things about summer. Another great thing is the camps. You can learn so much about stuff that you couldn’t do before. It is always a fun experience. Keep on checking about my summer.

My Journey of Life

4th grade

My journey in Austin was just the beginning of my journeys. Looking back at the journey I couldn’t help but notice what a great and big journey we are having. During the whole year we talked about building bridges and now we finally get to. I found out that we can be pioneers too. We are growing up and finding our destination just like pioneers. We are building our bridges into a new city. Us knowing that we stepped foot into the Alamo which is the most remembered battle ever in Texas is unbelievable. Our journey is now so big in our hearts. Now our bridge is even bigger. Our 4th grade year will end but not our journey. And even if our 4th grade year will end we have another journey in 5th grade. Our bridges can keep building everyday in our hearts. It will feel great for others to realize that you are building bridges. The person who I studied in Texas history was Susanna Dickinson. Susanna Dickinson is a pioneer to me. She was the one that had to travel and tell the awful news that the Alamo has fallen. She also could be a peacemaker to her daughter. Because her daughter was two when the battles happened. So she had to listen to her daughter crying. So I think she was a great example pioneer and peacemaker. I can’t take all of the credit for my journey. My teacher Mrs. Cousino helped me realize that I can be a pioneer too. She read us the Narnia books which gave us a great idea of what God can do. Mrs. Cousino taught us a lot about what God would want us to do. Now even though my 4th grade journey is ending I have another 5th grade journey ahead of me.

You are sweet and nice

Just like sugar and spice

You have so much care

And great hair

She loves me

And is as happy as can be

Her voice is as sweet as a dove

And has love from above

My Meme is loving

And loves hugging

Love from her is a gift from above

Cause she has so much love

So if I ever wonder how to get rid of thunder

Talk to Meme cause she will always be there for

Me

I love you Meme

Love,

The Rest of the Trip

I am so sad to say that this week is the last week to read about New York. So if you want to say your opinion about New York please feel free to comment. Now you might ask what I am going to write about. The first week I wrote about Wicked, the second week I wrote about the Lion King so what will I write about this week? Well I am going to write about the rest of the trip. Are you ready for the last journal entry about New York? Okay then, here it is.

Just hopped of the plane. And we find a short Chinese man ready to drive us to the Palace Hotel. Now that Chinese man was short but quite fast. When we got in the taxi my Dad had a headache. And so did I at the end of the ride. The first thing we did was go see the Empire State Building. It had a great view of New York.  We can skip Thursday you already heard about Wicked. Oh, wait there is still on part. I got a 21 hat from the 21 Club. The guy said he wasn’t going to be there when I turned 21. On to Friday.  The first thing we did on Friday was go on a boat ride to get a better look at the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty made me want to sing the national anthem. Friday was our shopping day. First we went to Toys r us. It was four stories with a ferris wheel. That is unbelievable! I just bought a bracelet from there. Next we had some pizza. Then of course I wanted to go see the M&M store. Three stories filled of M&Ms. That is a lot of M&Ms. I forgot what day we went to FAO Schwartz. We played on the big piano. It was some much fun besides all the times that Mom was yanking me from side to side. So shopping is basically all we did on Friday. And Saturday was The Lion King, which you already heard about. So I hoped you enjoyed my last journal entry about New York. I think it is time say by to New York.

The Lion King

The Lion King

I told you that you need to stay tune for The Lion King. I went to two Broadway shows for my trip at New York. So here is the play.

“Look” I said to my Dad. Some of the characters were in the audience singing The Circle of Life. They used the space so well! And their costumes were amazing! The costumes were one of my favorite parts. I loved the song when they rode the elephants. It was so creative how the made the elephants so decorative. You didn’t feel like you were watching a show with lots of people, but just with your family on a wonderful vacation. And if you were there you would feel that way too.

Wicked

wicked

Because I was turning ten I got to go to New York with my Mom and Dad and no brother and sister (yes). Every week for at least three weeks I will right about some of my favorite parts of the trip.  This week I will tell you about when I went to the Broadway play called Wicked. Wicked is about the wicked witch of the west and some parts of the wicked witch of the east when they were younger. Here is the story

We walk into the theater. My heart is pounding like it never has before. I have been waiting for this trip for the whole trip. Poof, smoke starts the play. I love it already. One of my favorite parts is the singing. They were beautiful singers. My favorite character was Glinda other wise know, as the nice witch from the Wizard of Oz. Glinda was such a girly girl. Her shelf was full of shoes. She was hilarious. It was really clever how Wicked mixed into the Wizard of Oz. Fiyero was a prince. But later in the story he turns into a scarecrow.  Boq Nessarose’s (wicked witch of the east) true love turns into the tin man because Nessarose took his heart away. In the end the wicked witch of the west did not melt, but she ran away with Fiyero. And Glinda got her dream to be the nice witch. Tune in next week for the Lion King!
